Caramelised Brussel Sprouts

This recipe will earn the humble sprout a few brownie points…


  • Brussel Sprouts
  • Good olive oil
  • Sea salt
  • 1 lemon
  • Extra virgin olive oil




    Cut any scraggy outer leaves from the sprouts, chop ends off

    Steam your sprouts for 3 minutes only. Then slice in half lengthways.

    Heat a drizzle of olive oil in a frying pan, and add sprouts in a single layer, cut side down (you might have to do a few batches)

    Cook for a few minutes each side, until caramelised on the outsides.

    Serve on a platter, drizzled with extra virgin, lemon juice and sea salt
